Responsibilities
- Understanding of the reclamation project specifications and the various engineering aspects that are part of typical mega-coastal project.
- Learn and develop skills in Coastal Engineering related works, including geotechnical and civil & structural design, and project management
- Support the Coastal Team in running the project:
- Assist design analysis using manual calculation and/or design softwares
- Assist the engineers in administrative/logistical matters, i.e., data processing, research & development proposal, literature reviews, arrange stakeholder/authorities' meetings/discussions, preparation notes of meetings, preparation presentation materials, etc
- Assist engineers in-charge in report preparation, i.e., engineering reports, risk assessment reports, progress reports, interpretation reports, and etc.
- Support on pursue project: assist in tender submission
- Assist in other Coastal department activities i.e.: beach clean-up, sports day, etc
Requirements
- Student of Civil Engineering Department, with interest in Coastal/Reclamation works
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Proficiency in engineering softwares will be preferred such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plaxis etc
