Job Description

Role Purpose 

We are seeking a motivated HR intern to join our team for a 3 to 6-months internship. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all HR efforts and initiatives effectively reach our global employee base, thereby enhancing the overall employee experience.

Based at our headquarters in Singapore, this position offers comprehensive learning opportunities in various HR topics and provides global exposure. The intern will interact and collaborate closely with individuals from diverse cultures and functions, which is essential for performing the key duties of this role effectively.

Role Accountabilities 

Employee Engagement and Communications 

  • Lead the user experience enhancement project for the HR SharePoint site. 
  • Collaborate closely with HR subject matter experts to ensure information is accurately translated into easily comprehensible content for employees globally. 
  • Compose engaging write-ups and electronic direct mails (EDMs) for employees from diverse backgrounds and cultures, ensuring they are informed about key initiatives and changes in an enticing manner. 
  • Support welfare initiatives in Singapore to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Employer Branding, Recruitment, and Onboarding 

  • Participate in recruitment process including job postings, applicant screening and shortlisting, interviews coordination and liaising with external recruiters to hire the best talents. 
  • Administer new hire onboarding activities such as coordination of onboarding sessions to facilitate smooth integration of new employee into the company. 
  • Support outreach initiatives like campus recruitment, industry partnerships, careers fair and talks in promoting the company employer branding.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Able and willing to commit for full 3 to 6 months period. 
  • Undergraduate in Human Resources/Business Management/Administration or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially SharePoint.
  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse culture and functions. 
  • Dedicated to upholding the Swire Bulk core values and consistently demonstrating them in daily work activities.
