The Bridge Fashion Incubator (TBFI) is South-East Asia's first business incubation programme that champions startups and small companies whose products and/or services operate at the intersection of Fashion, Technology and Sustainability. A Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF) initiative housed at The Cocoon Space in Design Orchard, Singapore, and supported by the Singapore Government, this inaugural 30-week incubation programme seeks to guide and expose selected companies to industry mentors, equipping each business with the tools needed for business modeling, fundraising and scaling, primarily through customised mentorship tailored to the specific needs of each business.
The programme for the first cohort runs from 19 August 2019 to 13 March 2020. The timing for the second cohort has yet to be announced.
Running throughout the year, the TBFI team also creates and hosts TaFF Industry Insights - regular events where guests gain access to experts and industry leaders who are reshaping the way we think about the broader fashion ecosystem, and our role in creating and building better brands and businesses.TBFI boasts an illustrious panel of local and international Specialist Mentors, Review Panelists and International Advisory Board members from across the Fashion, Design, Retail, Technology, Sustainabity and Investment spaces.
We are seeking a Programme Manager who will work closely with the TBFI Programme Director to assist in the running of the programme. The right candidate possesses a knowledge and/or understanding of business and entrepreneurship, has a love for the global fashion industry and an insatiable curiosity for the latest developments in innovation, technology and sustainability.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reports to TBFI Programme Director.
- Assists TBFI Programme Director to set and achieve strategic goals and KPIs for the TaFF Industry Insights events and the TBFI programme.
- Establish fresh network nodes with other stakeholders within the industry relating to fashion and business/entrepreneurship.
- Works closely with TBFI Programme Director to plan and execute TaFF Industry Insights events, and the TBFI programme - from the open call for applications to the programme, to the organisation of the final day of the programme, the Demo Day.
- Involved in TaFF Industry Insights event and TBFI programme reviews, and proposal of actions for improvements where necessary.
- Connect and liaise with various external parties to deliver event and programme content. These include Sponsors, Partners, Specialist Mentors, Review Panelists, International Advisory Board members, guest speakers and training providers.
- Liaise with TaFF Events and The Cocoon Space Customer Service departments to ensure that facilities and equipment are booked and available for the delivery of all events, programme modules, webinars, workshops, etc.
- Liaise with TaFF Marketing department to create marketing plan, and appointed external Public Relations provider to create PR plan, for the TaFF Industry Insights events, the TBFI programme and its modules.
- Liaise with internal/external partners regarding Graphic Design and Copy for all presentation and marketing collaterals.
- General administrative and logistical tasks necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of the programme.
Qualifications
SKILLS
- HIGHLY ORGANISED AND RESOURCEFUL.
- Possesses a strong network within the fashion ecosystem
- Has a flair for strategic insights and execution of plans
- Project management skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English is a must.
- Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a bonus.
