Tate & Tonic – Junior User Interface Engineer

THE ROLE

You will work together with our Chief Technology Officer and CEO to build new interfaces that thousands of customers will use as their new default shopping destination. We are looking for a truly passionate, highly motivated smart fresh graduate who is excited in pioneering a new model of retail with Technology at its core. 

Both internship and permanent full-time position available. 

ACTIVITIES YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

• Prototyping & Designing new functionality and interfaces for our frontend
• Implementing solutions in JavaScript/JQueryHTML/CSS that support an A/B testing environment
• Working closely with our CTO to integrate the new visual designs and functionalies coded
• Brainstorming and suggesting new product features together with the management team to delight our customers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO 

• Is truly passionate about creating beautiful user experiences and can share personal side projects he has been working on
• Has a strong sense for visual design and is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Has experience in writing modern JavaScript based web applications (JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, CSS)
• Has a good sense of what is required to design a great user interface
• Is highly independent, thrive on autonomy, can figure out how to get things done without someone telling him what to do
• Has a positive attitude and likes to have fun...a lot!
• Is hard working and wants to grow in an ambitious start up environment

• (bonus skills) Has worked before in a Python / Django environment
