On behalf of one of its clients, in the Environment field, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Carbon Finance intern.
As a Carbon Finance intern, you will work closely with the Founders Team to further develop our techno-economic models. You will support on preparing financial documents for investors and buyers of carbon credits. You will be actively involved in the client's scaling strategy to turn their Artisanal projects into Industrial ones. You will have to have a deep understanding of the Biochar Carbon Removal methodology as well as the new business model to channel carbon finance to biochar projects in developing countries.
The key responsibilities of the Supply lead are:
- Responsible for preparing detailed financial models for new biochar projects, including cashflow and IRR forecast for our Biochar projects
- Responsible for setting-up of techno-economic documents for investors and buyers
- Responsible for the watch activity related to innovative carbon business models, climate tech grant and other sources of financing
- Contribute to the enhancement of their in-house techno-economic assessment model
- Evaluate various techno-economic set-ups for their future artisanal and industrial projects
Requirements
- Master Degree Candidate in Sustainability, Climate change or Carbon mitigation field. Gap year from Business or Engineering school is accepted
- Deep understanding of Carbon Finance mechanisms and standards and previous experience in Carbon Credits or Carbon accounting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English, excellent Oral and written skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-changing organisation.

- Execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects.

- 6 months internship, starts in January 2024.
