- Brief Description:
This position is responsible for1) Develop the recruitment strategy for volunteers and the reactivation strategy for passive volunteers2) Evaluate & develop volunteer management practices and training programmes as well as volunteer recognition and engagement programmes3) Evaluates the effectiveness of volunteer partnerships and develops risk mitigation measures for volunteer programmes4) Identifies opportunities for collaborations
- Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Manage volunteer resources2) Facilitate volunteer partnerships3) Manage volunteer policies and processes4) Build stakeholder relationships5) Develop strategy and operationalise plans to market the services and volunteering opportunities available in the community
- Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1) To be able to set up volunteer acquisition channels and1 funnels2) To be able to screen volunteers for fit3) To be able to engage with volunteers and re-engage dormant volunteers4) To be able to support volunteers in achieving their desired outcomes (of fostering neighbourliness)5) To be able to evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer programme with regards to retaining volunteers and the impact made by the volunteers6) To gain knowledge of volunteer management best practices
