We are looking for a Sustainable Urban Farming Intern to join our team!
The intern will play an essential role in caring for the plants and working with the team and community to research and implement sustainable urban farming practices, including hydroponics, traditional soil planting, self-watering systems, and other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Take care of plants and ensure they thrive in the urban environment
- Conduct research on sustainable urban farming practices, including hydroponics, traditional soil planting, self-watering systems, and other methods
- Assist in the implementation of sustainable farming practices
- Work with the team and community to educate and promote sustainable urban farming practices
- Prepare reports and presentations on research and implementation progress
Qualifications
- Passionate about sustainable urban farming and circular economy principles
- Strong interest in hydroponics, traditional soil planting, and self-watering systems
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and techniques
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Education and Experience
- Experience in sustainable farming and gardening
- Pursuing a degree in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field is a plus
