Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative Studio Interns who are currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, mentored by our founder, a veteran in the field and an advocate for best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Support: Assist in planning and facilitating child-led programmes that emphasize constructivist play and learning.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in the classroom, helping to set up provocations and engage with children during play and learning sessions.
  • Material Preparation: Help prepare and organize educational materials and resources for various programmes and workshops.
  • Observation and Documentation: Observe children's play and learning, documenting their progress and experiences to inform programme development.
  • Event Support: Assist in the organization and execution of special events, workshops, and study tours held at the studio.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Able to work at least 4 hours weekly for 6 months or longer.
  • Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree programme in Early Childhood Education or a recent graduate.
  • Strong interest in early childhood education and child development.
  • Creative and enthusiastic about engaging with children through play and learning activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of constructivist play and learning principles.
  • Basic understanding of child development theories.
  • Familiarity with creating and organizing educational materials.
