The Job
At Oddle, the DevOps team is responsible for Oddle’s entire dev and production infrastructure. Our system is built on AWS; and our stack uses a variety of technologies like Java, ReactJS, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
We are looking for talented candidates who are interested in Linux System, Cloud Infrastructure, Container, and CI/CD automation. Ideally, you will be enrolled in computer science-related program, with a basic understanding of programming/scripting in a language such as Python, NodeJS or Bash. Basic knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
This will be a 24-week assignment to perform DevOps for an existing web application project. You will work with a mentor who will guide you through the software development lifecycle and the process of DevOps which includes infrastructure management and developing internal tools for our Engineering team.
What you will do:
- Solve the infrastructure, release, and deployment-related challenges with code (Infrastructure-as-Code)
- Support and contribute to the provisioning and configuration of the infrastructure using tools like Docker, Packer and Ansible
- Take ownership of the design and implementation of internal tools and automation scripts to improve efficiency and communication of the engineering team
- Monitor and ensure the uptime and availability of production systems through integration with messaging and alert tools
- Assist in application deployments and release management

- Some experience with programming in languages such as Python, NodeJS or Bash
- Comfortable in working with the terminal/command line
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
