The Parkview Museum Singapore is a new space for contemporary art conceived with the aim to promote a dialogue between artists at a global level and to strengthen the appreciation and understanding of contemporary art within the community.
Founded by Chairman of Hong Kong Parkview Group, Parkview Museum Singapore has the goal to involve international and local artists to create thematic exhibitions that demonstrate the multifaceted and versatile character of contemporary art.
Our internship programme offer participants in-depth exposure to the workings of a non-profit art instituition and practical training in visual art and museum practices. We recommend at least a commitment period of three months for a meaningful internship programme. Internship opportunities are based on Museum needs and requirements and are assigned to interns with the appropriate skills and interests.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Supporting an array of actives and projects related to the exhibition, programmes and workshop
- Assisting with day to day administration
- Taking daily visitor attendance figures
- Museum sitting, ensuring standard presentation of artwork is maintained
- Docent & Visitor Services
ELIGIBILITY
Applications are welcome from all undergraduate students enrolled at local and overseas institutions. Intern candidates must possess a strong command of English, excellent communication skills, strong writing skills, word-processing skills, and the ability to work and function in a creative and flexible environment. Ideal candidates will have strong and varied skill sets from multimedia skills to event management. Experience is preferred but interest is key
OTHERS
Confirmation of positions will be announced at least 2 weeks before the official commencement of the internship. The expected commitment frequency is Mondays to Saturdays, 12-7pm
