We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations and Logistics Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in supply chain management and a passion for the food industry. This internship offers hands-on experience in managing the logistics and operations of a dynamic catering company, providing an excellent opportunity to gain practical skills and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in the coordination and management of daily catering operations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
● Support inventory management, including tracking supplies, ordering ingredients, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
● Help develop and implement logistical plans for events, including transportation, setup, and breakdown.
● Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of orders.
● Analyze and optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
● Assist in the development and maintenance of operational documentation, including standard operating procedures and inventory records.
● Support the operations team with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling, customer service, and invoicing.
● Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and innovation.
Requirements:
● Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
● Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with inventory management software.
● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
