The Red Pencil (Singapore) is an Institution of Public Character and a registered charity founded in Singapore with a mission to bring the benefits of creative arts therapy (drawing, music, movement and dance) to less privileged children, adults and families who have been through overwhelming and traumatic life circumstances such as life-threatening illness, violence and abuse, for which they may have no words.

Job Description

As a Programme Administration intern at The Red Pencil (Singapore), you will provide support for both the Programmes team and the Office Administration team. You will be part of a small and cohesive team and will be given various responsibilities, from programme liaison work to administrative duties. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain a good understanding and experience in the non-profit social sector. As an intern, you will be required to work at least twice a week in the office. 

What you can expect to do:

Programmes

  • Work closely with the programmes team to collaborate with partner organisations on creative arts therapy programmes
  • Plan, coordinate and implement ad-hoc events and exhibitions
  • Assist with data entry, processing and compilation for evaluation reports
  • Provide logistical or other ad-hoc assistance to ensure the smooth running of programmes
  • Assist with ad-hoc research-related tasks (including but not limited to literature review, data analysis)

Office Administration

  • Work closely with the office administration team to stock-take inventory
  • Assist with data entry and other ad-hoc tasks

What we are looking for from you:

  • Preferably diploma or current undergraduate pursuing the field of social sciences
  • An interest in creative arts and/or therapy 
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Good team-player
  • Proactive, outspoken and autonomous
  • Preferably some experience in academic writing and quantitative and qualitative research
  • Able to work at least three days a week (applicants who can work full-time are welcome)
