The Scientist is a Singapore based interior design consultancy firm started in 2012, providing interior design, space planning consulting services to primary owners of the residential market segment. The scientist also engages design and build projects for condominiums homes and HDB residential homes. For landed properties, we provide interior design services directly to homeowners or via architectural firms and builders that takes on the entire rebuild of the property. The Scientist targets the mid to high end residential space where homeowners dream to create the ultimate Home and living space tailored to the lifestyle and preferences to the most minute details. Services rendered to these group of individuals requires the firm to have deep knowledge of design and more importantly a consistent design process and sustainable practice by the team. Our design firm adopts a simple design philosophy and belief system; that there is no clear-cut formula specifically for each of our engagement, what is needed is a strong passion and constant desire for creation. Design is often said to be subjective but we believe that through the right conversations with customers and our proven design principles and processes, we create innovative design concepts and make design decisions with our customers based on facts and science, and this translates through to the end product which our customers are convinced and love. 3D Visualiser
We are seeking a 3D Renderer/Visualizer to provide photo-realistic 3D solutions and able to adjust the work/ quality as per type of projects (retail, merchandising, office interior), at the given timeline and budget. The candidate must be able to translate sketches and mood boards into amazing visualization. You will collaborate and work closely with the creative director and a multi-skilled design team to deliver quick and outstanding images.
Main Duties
- Rapidly construct and model accurate high-quality 3D rendered images and visuals to the specifications of each project.
- Coordinate 3D project activities, ensure key project information is passed along to appropriate people, estimate effort for delivery, meet delivery deadlines and proactively participate in problem identification and solving.
- Good understanding and communication to ensure project success.
- Take ownership and perform independently with minimal supervision and/or instructions.
Requirements:
- A Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Art/Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent.
- At least 2 - 5 Years(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Preferably a Visualizer specializing in Interior Design/Retail/Merchandising or equivalent
- A good understanding of light and color, along with composition and basic art principles
- Experience in beauty/luxury brands is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Attention to details
- Fluency in English
- Required Skills(s): Autodesk 3DS Max, V-Ray, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop
- Vector works and Adobe Illustrator knowledge is an added advantage.
