The Warehouse Hotel was built in 1895 along the Singapore River as part of the Straits of Malacca trade route. At that time, the area was a hotbed of secret societies, underground activity, and liquor distilleries. Today, while much of that history has disappeared, one building has been meticulously restored as a modern 37-room boutique hotel, focusing on heritage and local culture. Open as of January 2017, it delivers thoughtful hospitality with historically-detailed rooms, classic local dishes and craft cocktails in the vibrant neighborhood of Robertson Quay.
We are looking for a passionate, guest centric individual to fill this role. As the Hotel’s primary point of contact with potential customers, the individual is pivotal in ensuring the customer’s reservations and enquiries are promptly confirmed and replied to. Strong communication skills over the phone and proficiency in basic computer software is essential in the daily maintenance and management of the customer database.
You’ll be in charge of:
- Providing overall reservations and administrative support for the Hotel
- Processing reservations from various channels
- Responding to communication from guests, travel agents, partner networks
- Quoting and recommending suitable solutions for potential guests
- Ensuring all relevant sales information is captured in the system
- Helping develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts
- Preparing expected arrival lists for Front Office use
- Be the key client contact on-the-ground, welcoming clients, conducting site visits, and some management of VIP groups and client reservations
- Assist in building sales collateral, printed materials, and mailers to drive awareness
- Manage guest database and CRM, including history, spending trends, preferences
- Assist in reviewing monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends
- Assist in developing events and promotions that showcase the hotel to potential clients
- Proactively sourcing business potentials for the restaurant in target industries via demographics, market forces, and key partnerships
- Establish and build marketing resources such as customer database to build deep, personal relationships with key clients, event partners, and third-party sales
- Assisting in the servicing of clients’ accounts to achieve target revenue and personal/team monthly sales goals while maximizing profitability
- Handling and managing all aspects of planning and coordination for confirmed groups and events in all market segments
- Working closely with the organizers to plan and orchestrate all group and event requirements prior to the event day
- Cross divisional work coordination on different aspects of the outlets’ event services
- Ensure well planning with the organizers in order to clearly communicate the requirements and details to operating departments of event execution and service delivery on the event days
Qualification
The ideal candidate should have/be:
- Good telephone etiquette & strong communication skills both verbal and through email
- At least 2 years experience in a similar capacity
- Organised individual with excellent follow through
- Proficient in MS Office and other Hotel systems
