Job Overview
As an Operations Specialist Intern, you will handle and oversee the daily operational demands of Thryft which include: being responsible for the processing of our books and clothes trade-ins and donations. You will also be carrying out activities like scanning in books, shelving and arranging books, taking photos of clothing and other tasks relevant to our operations. Some of the tasks might require lifting heavy items, or some sort of physical exertion.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Scheduling pick-ups, and liaising with drivers or couriers
- Processing of trade-ins and donations
- Labelling and storage of inventory
- Photographing of clothing inventory
- Finding and packing orders
- Scheduling shipment of orders
- Assist the operations team to perform key operational upgrades
- Manage events such as Weekend Garden
Requirements
- Minimum 3 months commitment
- Commit 40 hours per week (full-time)
- Basic computer skills
- Physically fit
- Meticulous and detailed
- Find operations work fulfilling and challenging
- Keen interest to innovate work processes
- Fun and positive attitude
- Flexible work schedule including the option of Saturday half-days when necessary
