Since October 2011, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

THKMC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the elderly and the sickfamiliespersons with disabilities, and children.  We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

Job Description

The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC Centre involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support and consultation to senior staff team, professional group, or organisational department
  • Assemble and analyse fairly complex information or data. May be required to describe and consolidate results in written reports
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to work well with our trans-disciplinary team of professionals
  • Use independent and professional judgment in executing tasks
  • Oversee administrative procedures and processes for assigned area.
  • Some involvement in budget preparation and control
  • May act as an administrative liaison with internal and/ or external sources.
  • Coordinate and direct administrative support functions for an office or department.
  • Opportunities to be involved in formulation and implementation of policies and procedures for assigned area e.g. production of documents, work flow, filing, ordering of supplies, records maintenance, and other services
  • Organise office operations ranging from cyclical maintenance to transportation of items between centres such as documents and supplies etc
  • May monitor funding, equipment or employee records
  • May act as a liaison between division and IT department for division’s IT services and equipment needs. Interest in IT and functional IT knowledge is a bonus.
  • Opportunities to be involved in risk management as well as activities that support centre operations such as BizSafe and Environmental Sanitation Regime

Qualifications

  • Degree from a recognised institution in any discipline
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Mature, independent, creative, flexible thinking and resourceful
  • Good IT knowledge
  • Able to use excel, word and MS office suite
  • Experience in project management is a bonus
  • Keen to develop professionally
