THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
The Training Support Officer is responsible for provision of support in the planning, preparation and execution of procedural skills training, simulation, surgical skills training and life support training for all staff at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities. The Training Support Officer will be the liaison for all the trainings conducted by the Office of Clinical Standards, Service Quality & Professional Competencies (SQC).
Responsibilities:
Technical / Classroom Support
- Set up and manage day-to-day necessary technology i.e. Audiovisual, simulation case studies setting up in Laerdal & Somnotec, etc for a high-quality teaching and learning experience
- Supporting the logistics matters on course/training days
- Manage all technical aspects of troubleshooting and resolving technical problems to minimise disruptions to teaching
- Train users in software/platform upgrades to simulators and other products
- Assist in creation of fake moulage for delivery of practical lessons, e.g. blood / injury / gastric juices
Consumables & Stationery & Moulage Creation
- Procurement of consumables, stationery and top up
- Maintaining store inventory and storage condition of all items including running audits on high fidelity mannequins
- Ensure Preventative and upkeep and maintenance of all equipment / mannequins
Administrative Support
- Assist with Registration of courses/ trainings with ITE, SNB, external courses etc
- Booking and scheduling of training in calendar
- Up-keeping and maintaining training data and certification records
- Generating and reporting course / training statistics
- Assist in administering feedback and evaluation for courses/training
- Assist in logistics preparation for practical and theory examinations
General
- Ensure Lab is clean, neat and tidy after every use and is well maintained
- Assist with finance, purchasing and budgeting matters, where assigned
- Purchasing and obtaining quotes when necessary
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Polytechnic Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in IT and AV support and/or experience working with simulation equipment in Simulation lab setting at Nursing / Allied Health care schools would be advantageous
- Knowledge of operating high fidelity simulation mannequins is an added advantage if none, willing to be trained.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and in handling on-line learning.

- Able to work independently as well as a team player.
- Self-motivated and keen to develop professionally.
