Company Profile

You will be responsible for the recruitment of students to TMC Academy and requires an in-depth knowledge of TMC’s program offerings and the ability to communicate this knowledge to a range of stakeholders including staff, schools and prospective students.  There is also a need to familiarize with the student pass applications procedures. You are to provide programme consultation, offer professional advice & recruit students into the programmes to meet monthly sales target. You must be comfortable in making cold calls, participate in roadshows, fairs, events, seminars and preview sessions.

Job Description

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • GCE ‘A” Level or equivalent and above with at least 1 year of relevant working experience. Those with less experience can be considered.
  • Able to perform under pressure and deadlines to meet student recruitment targets
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and impact on and build support for ideas and actions.
  • Fluency in English and one other language. Excellent written English skills that enable clear communications.
  • A demonstrated ability to establish external networks effectively.
  • Good computer skills, including the use of electronic communication devices.
  • A demonstrated capacity to provide written reports on the recruitment market, as required by the supervisor.
  • Good public speaking skills to address students, parents and community groups at information seminars and marketing events
  • A flexible approach to working hours is necessary, as some events are held outside normal office hours.
  • The position description includes but is not limited to the following key areas of responsibility. As such the incumbent may be required to undertake other duties, which are broadly in line with the defined key responsibilities, as directed by the supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that major recruitment activities and events correspond with the annual plan for the division for such events.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Manager – Student Recruitment and Marketing or designate on recruitment activities and marketing events.
  • Manage recruitment events within the allocated budget.
  • Coordinate marketing events with other areas within TMC, as required eg. Management Office, Registrar’s unit – Student Administration.
  • Provide advice to the Senior Manager – Student Recruitment and Marketing on opportunities to increase student recruitment at TMC
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the marketing strategy to identify, target and recruit students to TMC
  • Contribute towards the achievement of recruitment targets so that TMC’s income targets are maintained
  • Ensure that recruitment initiatives are in line with the division’s operational plan
  • Ensure that recruitment advice to students is based upon a full and complete knowledge of TMC programs and procedures and that recruitment staff are trained and monitored to ensure that they understand the product they are selling
  • Take part in information sessions to students, parents and community groups as required providing advice on all aspects of TMC courses and government regulations relating to students.
  • Continue to work with students after they commence their courses to maximize retention and encourage progress through to higher qualifications.
  • Provide professional advice to schools and businesses regarding TMC courses and facilities and the benefits available to students who study at TMC.
  • Maintain open and effective relationships and communication channels with all relevant stakeholders across TMC so as to facilitate the efficient management of students attending TMC.
  • Contribute to building and strengthening teamwork between sales and recruitment staff and staff of other areas of TMC ensuring that sales and recruitment initiatives are communicated and understood.
  • Keying of student information into the Navision system to generate an offer letter and contract for students and payment plan to ensure that the correct information is entered onto the system.
  • Any other functions related to your job title or assigned by Senior Manager – Student Recruitment and Marketing or designate from time to time which may or may not be related to your job title.
