About the Team and Role
The team designs and implements impact programmes to help the differently abled to be more job-ready. We do this by adopting an ecosystem approach where we invite leading corporate partners to join us in our endeavour. We are in a stage of growing our programmes and outreach to more corporates.
The Day-to-Day activities
- Manage Database of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) & Partners
- Help organise Community Projects & Community Events that support the skills development of PWDs. This will include planning, execution, logistical support as well as administrative support
- Help in sending out communications to PWDs on WhatsApp/Telegram Channels,
- Assist in collating and creating simple content for Social Media Channels and Websites
- Conducting primary and secondary research and documenting learnings and know-how in strategies to work with differently abled in the workplace
- Be a buddy to the Special Education Needs participants during the Programme
- Creating reports and analyses of the outcomes of the Programme
- Provide administrative support to the team's operations, e.g. notetaking for meetings
Learning Objectives
- Learn the various forms of disabilities and strategies to communicate and work with them
- Project Management across various stakeholders
- Coordination and communications with different stakeholders.
- Impact Tracking and Reporting
Ideal Fit
- Experience in Programme Management / Events organisation
- Possess the agility to learn and solve problems
- Have some experience working with persons with disabilities or special educational needs
- Ability to analyze data using Pivot Table and Data Visualisation Tools
- Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written) with the ability to show empathy when designing activities for our participants
- Accountable to the task assigned and are outcome-focused and impact-driven
- Ability to manage working outside the comfort zone and handle a few tasks together
- Able to commit for a minimum period of 1.5 to 6 months starting mid-January 2024 with a full-time internship.
- Able to work in Singapore without a working visa
