We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated intern to join our team. Travelodge Hotels Asia is at an exciting stage of its growth, and the Brand, Communication & PR function plays a critical role in building the company’s internal and external reputation. We want an individual who is aspiring to build a career in communications, brand management and public relations and has an instinct for story-telling. In return, the intern will get to work with seasoned functional and sectoral experts and be mentored by a senior corporate affairs practitioner in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Supporting the VP for Brand, Communications & PR, the intern will…
• Develop corporate and consumer communications collaterals, including website copy, press releases and internal announcements
• Support business communications as required, including editing sales and marketing collaterals, to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Support digital marketing content as required, including proof-reading and copy-writing content for our social media channels
• Monitor news and social media platforms for trending news, ideas and feedback
• Support in the preparation of presentations and other internal business communications as required
• Research and evaluate competitor PR and social media content
• Support day-to-day press office duties, including responding to requests from the media
• Support the organisation of internal and external events as required
• Support the VP in post-meeting follow up actions, especially with agencies and other external vendors
• Assist with functional administrative duties
REQUIREMENTS
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or similar field
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Outstanding multi-tasking abilities
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Good understanding of latest communications, marketing and digital trends and techniques
• Creative with a can-do attitude geared towards problem-solving
• Confident and culturally-aware; comfortable managing senior stakeholders
• Passionate about the travel and tourism industry
