Travelodge Hotels Asia (TLA) is a hotel management and franchise company responsible for the development of hotels in Asia under the globally-recognised Travelodge brand. Headquartered in Singapore, TLA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SGX-listed ICP Ltd.

JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Intern will be part of a new and vibrant team to support the company’s strategic growth by supporting the business development efforts. The candidate will be exposed to business development activities and get to work on development deals from the origination stage to contract conclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Research & Business Development
- Assist to work with senior management to develop and implement business development strategies to grow the business and secure new hotel management contracts
- Assist to conduct market research and generate business leads through contacts with developers, lending institutions, independent hotel operators, hotel brokers, hotel consultants and government tourism bodies, track new projects pipeline, maintain both deal and contact databases
- Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies for potential deals, partake in work relating to bidding or tendering process, including market research and underwriting of each potential project including critical market and competitive data, tracking and establishing pickup trends, occupancy history, and provide recommendations to senior management
- Assist in developing presentations, proposals and pitch materials in connection to each business development opportunity and work with various internal stakeholders to prepare new deal proposals, such as technical services and revenue management team
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Possess at least a diploma in either Hospitality, Business Finance or Real Estate from a recognised institution
- Internship and relevant experience in the hospitality or real estate industry preferred
Attributes:
- Well versed in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, including financial modelling, graphs charting and presentation
- Be an independent learner, team player and enjoy working within a dynamic group and fast-paced environment
- Be meticulous and has the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and in an organized way
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with strong logical thinking capability, including the ability to communicate efficiently to various stakeholders
- Proficient research experience with ability to independently collect and evaluate economic and local market data
