Our Singapore Branch is instrumental in providing support to the Group strategy and platform; leveraging on existing operational set up to enhance services to international clients in their investments and trade.
We are looking for an Intern, People & Culture (Human Resources – “HR”) to join us at UniCredit Bank GmbH, Singapore Branch (“Bank”).
You will assist primarily with the administrative and operational task for the department. You will assist in ensuring that the department executes our HR policies and procedures smoothly.
If you are eager to kickstart your HR career and work in a dynamic environment that allows growth and development, this internship would offer you an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide; if not full spectrum of a HR generalist and gain insight into HR topics such as recruitment, payroll, benefits and amongst others.
Some of the responsibilities and duties are outlined below but not exhaustive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Support the People & Culture (P&C) team in the recruitment process. This includes formalizing the job requirements with the hiring manager, posting the job opportunities and shortlisting resumes and coordinating interview schedules.
- You will assist in the end-to-end process of the Bank’s intern resources for the various departments from Recruitment to On-boarding, Payroll and Off-boarding.
- Support the other On-boarding and Off-boarding processes of employees such as preparing of letter of offers, initiating background screenings, preparing reports on the staff movement and letters of resignation acceptance etc.
- Assist in Payroll and Benefits administration including income tax reporting and statutory claims submissions.
- Support in second level control and audit checks and queries.
- Assist in the appraisal year end process, if applicable and needed.
- Help process department related invoices and payment transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of regular reports for internal and external stakeholders including statutory reports.
- Assist with adhoc initiatives and projects such as reviewing and updating HR processes and procedures.
- Digitalize hard copy records into electronic documents and archive personnel files.
- Assist in organizing HR events and initiatives for on-boarding, mental and wellness and training, as well as company events for employees.
- Any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a keen interest in pursuing HR as a career
- Under-graduate in business administration, HR, arts and social sciences or related studies
- Post-graduates would be welcome provided you are in a gap year or break period with intention/plan to pursue further studies shortly
- Highly motivated, diligent and result-oriented team player
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Possess a can-do attitude, good self-initiative, agility and eagerness to work and learn in a multi-cultural environment
- Good command of MS Excel; Pivot Tables, Vlookup etc would be an advantage
- Prior intern experience in HR would be an advantage
INTERNSHIP DURATION:
- Candidates who would be able to commit to a full-time internship would be preferred.
- Part time internship of 3 days a week can be considered.
- To be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months internship.
