Universal Health Pte Ltd – Web and Mobile App Design Intern

THE OPPORTUNITY An internship (we need your commitment for minimum 5 months) which progresses to a full-time role in the fledging startup.

THE ROLE In this exciting role, you will join us in taking the reins in the graphical design aspects of our web and mobile apps, determining both the look, feel and navigation of each page, to make our digital solutions user-centric and drive consumer adoption.

RESPONSIBILITIES You are expected to:

Meet and liaise regularly with end users and/or customers to identify their needs;

Draw up detailed web and mobile app specifications; 

Work on navigation and usability;

Design logos, visual imagery, colour schemes and fonts to reflect the brand essence;

Design layouts, graphics, animations and enhance digital images;

Present design ideas to internal and external stakeholders;

Work with different content management systems;

Consider search engine optimisation (SEO);

Proofread content and suggest changes where necessary;

Work with web developers for implementation of designs; and

Research and suggest current design trends.

REPORTS TO Founding Team

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES The ideal candidate should:

Have a minimum of 1 year of web and mobile app design experience;

Familiar with design tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, content management system (CMS) such as WordPress, and no-code tools such as Squarespace and Webflow; 

Have excellent organisational skills; and

Excited about startups and being at the forefront of innovations.
