Job Description

Front End UI/UX Developer Intern (Part-Time/Full-Time)

The Opportunity

The opportunities are for people that have a background in online design with strong conceptual skills as well as knowledge

What You Will Learn

  • How to present information in a concise visually effective manner, increasing recall rate
  • How to defend your design decisions, solutions, ideas and recommendations that serve the business requirements
  • How to make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
  • Prioritizing enhancements and balancing customer satisfaction vs. commercialization

Job Description

  • Understand various workflows, help users navigate in the most intuitive and comfortable manner
  • Testing, Design and implementation of UI/UX elements
  • Design to improve overall customer experience
  • Optimize existing code base
  • Work with jQuery, Bootstrap, and other JavaScript web UI libraries and tools
  • Work with PHP/mySQL scripting functions
  • Preferred: Develop and implement AJAX call functions to a PHP based server backend
  • Preferred: Perform basic client side (JavaScript) & server side (PHP) scripting
  • Preferred: Understand JSON REST based API calls to get or post data.

Requirements

  • jQuery, Bootstrap, and other JavaScript web UI libraries and tools
  • CSS3 and HTML5 design elements
  • Good Design sense. Prior experience in website / web app design a plus
  • Client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, Bootstrap, React.js
  • Server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as JSX, LESS and WebPack
  • Familiar with module bundler like WebPack and the build pipeline
  • Asynchronous request handling
  • Familiar with BitBucket & Git
