PHP Application Developer Intern (Part-Time/Full-Time)
The Opportunity
Hands-on experience on software development and to enhance it to the next level while incorporating new languages, APIs, protocols, and IoT! What makes this opportunity exciting is that you get to work with present technology while having to incorporate emerging technological capabilities. Case in point: Advancing a PHP and mySQL application environment with RESTful API.
Not only you get to tinker with existing and emerging programming codes and frameworks, you will have to figure out how to best incorporate IoT capabilities for various controls over the Cloud or through Edge computing.

Job Description
- Understand current development environment (code structure, schema, etc)
- Build application that is modular by capabilities and supporting multi-tenancy usage
- Participate in UI & UX development
- RESTful APIs development
- Apply web performance standards and best practices, web security compliance (OWASP)
- Conduct automated testing frameworks such as PHPUnit
- Incorporate dashboards and widgets to the existing application
- Preferred: AWS Services provisioning (You’ll get our attention right away)
- Preferred: IoT Integration via MQTT/CoAP
- Preferred: Linux, SSH, Ubuntu
- Optional: Transitioning to Progressive Web Application (PWA)
- Optional: SSL/TLS encryption, Cryptographic methods
Requirements
- PHP development (Laravel 5.3 / 5.4) using MVC frameworks design patterns
- Experience with web architecture
- Database development via MySQL
- SCRUM Agile development methodology, e.g. Continuous Delivery, Unit Testing, Automation Testing
- Experience of responsive CSS-framework such as Bootstrap
- HMTL5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery, Angulas JS
- Be resourceful and diligent
- Willingness to learn and indepdent
- Experience with hybrid app development and performance challenges
- Decision making and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills, including strong English fluency
- Ability to work independent
