VFlowTech (VFT) is reinventing energy storage with Vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable Vanadium redox flow batteries in the world. VFT storage solution has an expected life span of 25 years and is proven to be one of the safest and most environmentally friendly battery technologies. VFT founders have deep experience in the renewable space, and Vanadium redox flow technology. VFT is a spin-off of the CleanTech lab of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and benefits from unique IP arising from many years of intensive research at NTU.
The Embedded Software Engineer Intern must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, fast paced environment providing experience on energy storage systems. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker, fast-learner, collaborative worker, and self-starter with a passion for the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Collaborate on IoT products and solution in cloud based IoT Platform by interfacing Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management System (BMS).
- Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance of IoT Cloud Software stack in Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Battery Management System (BMS).
- You should follow software development lifecycle practices including design and reviews, testing and regression, revision control, and user documentation.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or has graduated from a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in computer/electronics engineering or relevant discipline.
- Should be familiar with software development like C/C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with IOT cloud technology, instrumental monitoring, remote monitoring and IoT Device knowledge (Gateway, Sensor) is a plus.
- Knowledge of communication interfaces and protocols, such as RS232, RS485, CAN, Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RTU, etc is a plus.
