We are a non-ferrous metal’s merchant set up in early 2016 by its management with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Switzerland. We are expanding our presence through new offices and representations to serve our global network of producers and consumers.
This is a strong team with experienced members. You will have direct working exposure with the Operations/Finance Head and strong developmental opportunities in the role. You will have close interaction with multiple stakeholders in the company.
Middle Office
-Match and check trade tickets to Reuter and brokers confirmation on trade date
-Working with front office to resolve any differences on pricing, volume, counterparty and mark to market (MTM) intent trading desk; daily risk management of trading positions
-Daily monitoring and validation of ancillaries and related profit and loss statements (P&L)
-Daily validation of business summaries and deal blotters from front office to make certain that new business deals are correctly illustrated in the system
-Validate trading contracts in SGP/China before execution
-Observing exposure to mark to market (MTM) prices and curves while ascertaining profit and loss statements (P&L) impact when curve or price updates are inaccessible by the Global End of Day deadline
-Publish daily trading profit and loss statements (P&L)
Trade Finance
· Maintain current and new banking relationship
· Account Opening & Documentation
· Ensure compliance with banks ‘terms, conditions and other requirements
· Liaise with each business unit to allocate facility usage
· Manage all necessary documents for Letter of Credit application and bank negotiation independently
· Follow up with advising banks on documents flow and acceptance from issuing banks
· Monitor Letter of Credit discounting and make sure funds credit into account on time.
· Make sure each business transaction is properly documented and recorded
· Daily updates trade summary
Operations
· Working hand in hand with Traders and other internal counterparties for smooth flow of shipping documents
· Liaising with internal departments for L/Cs and other trade finance related matters
· Keeping up to date with buyer's payment to ensure company's healthy cash flow
· Drafting of Sales & Purchase contract for metals.
· Negotiating and drafting of letter of credit
· Build relationship with banks to liaise on trade finance matters
· Knowledge of handling container shipment
· Booking of vessel & arranging of Logistic
· Strong understanding of Trade Flow
