Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers at bar or through beverage runners
- Be well versed in spirits, liquors, and cocktails in terms of the different styles of beverages served and techniques required to craft the beverages
- Be able to comfortably recommend wine, cocktail, or an aperitif to guests
- Accurate recording of drinks ordered and process payment for guests
- Ensure efficiency in daily set-up and closing
- Monitor daily inventory as well as ensure restocking of ingredients
- Provide excellent customer service to customers, with recommendations and answering of enquiries
- Upsell of drinks and bar snack items to guests
- Maintain well-groomed, clean and professional appearance according to grooming standards
- Assist the Manager in creation of classic and innovative drinks to exceed guests’ expectations
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene standards are met for all glassware, equipment and working area
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
Qualifications
Requirements
- Good knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Prior experience in bartending operations an added advantage
- Comfortable with numbers and cash handling
- Good verbal communication skills
- Able and willing to work weekends, public holidays and on rotational shifts
- 5-day work week
