It is a vertically-integrated marine services group principally engaged in shipbuilding, shiprepair and conversion, shipchartering, dredge engineering and other marine related services, catering to customers from Asia Pacific, South Asia, Europe, Australia and the Middle East.
• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
• To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• To liaise closely with warehouse, suppliers and to ensure on time delivery
• Give forwarding instructions to supplier
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
• Contact with vessel’s port agents
• Custom clearance
• Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
• Maintain and update supplier’s database on various platform.
Job Requirements:
• Diploma holder in related field/discipline
• Self-motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience in marine industries is a MUST
• Possess initiative and able to multi-tasks
• Resourceful with good negotiation skills
• Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP
