Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal and compliance field? Look no further! We are seeking a highly motivated Legal and Compliance Intern to join our team. As a Legal and Compliance Intern, you will work closely with our Director of Legal & Compliance to support our organization's legal and regulatory compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on a variety of topics, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance
- Participate in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Assist with the preparation and filing of regulatory reports and disclosures
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and assignments
- Attend team meetings and provide input on legal and compliance strategies
- Assist with internal investigations and audits
- Draft legal documents and contracts
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as organizing files and scheduling appointments
- Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments and changes
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a law degree locally
- Strong academic record and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interest in legal and regulatory compliance
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal research databases
