Job Description

We are looking for a Collections Executive to join our Global Business Services division.

Global Business Services provides high quality, scalable and cost-efficient business support services, such as finance, HR and IT, to companies in the Wilhelmsen group. 


The Collections Executive will report to the Finance Manager.

Who you are : 

You will support GBS Finance functions in line with the corporate policies, guidelines, and objectives.

You will ensure correct and reliable posting in the financial administrative system and to assist the Finance & Accounting Manager/Accountant in keeping the financial administration up-to-date.

Required experience and skills:

  • Able to commit for at least 1 year of service & contract renewable subjected to business needs.
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Accountancy and Finance or relevant work experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and systematically.
  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
  • Proactive attitude and team-oriented.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate all Service Agreement related jobs.
  • Send email to global agents to update the job status in Virtual Agent.
  • Assist with monthly financial closing activities.
  • Prepare journal entries into accounting system.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit reports.
  • Handle cash management.
  • Maintain proper filing system, customer’s float account and inform the global agents if it is insufficient to carry out the remittance as instructed, internal cashbook and upload in Share point daily.
  • Regular update of local agents’ bank details in Danske Bank and cashbook and new customer IFS ID.
  • Prepare consolidated remittances and submission of timely payment schedules.
  • Responsible for obtaining banking reports from the on-line banking system.
  • Set-up of vendors / suppliers for the electronic funds transfers process for payment of disbursement accounts / invoices.
  • Provide a finalized copy of remittance list to the global agents.
  • Maintain the most updated copy of the fund received workbook in Share point.
  • Maintain the local agent and global agents’ contact list.
  • Provide additional details to the bank for certain sensitive remittance.
  • Perform daily OFAC checking.
