Job Description

Business Development Intern


By working closely with the start-up Founder and Head of Design, you'll see how learn how we work as a start-up & grow.


Able to commit 6 months (full-time) and we may extend to a part-time or flexible work arrangement, if there is a need.
You will be based at our HQ at AZ@PayaLebar and may include 2 times a week at our Retail Booth at TTSH.
Marketing
– Liaise with potential tertiary institutions and corporations for collaboration opportunities
– Coordinate, organise roadshows with corporate organisations
– Coordinate special events (if any)
– Assist in all marketing assignments
Retail Sales
- Some days based at our TTSH retail booth
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers
- Must be comfortable to talk to strangers/customers
- Ensure smooth running of the booth while on duty
Admin
– Manage and assist in admin/paperwork duties
– Other ad-hoc duties
Social Media (support role)
– Design basic posters/ infographics/ photos
– Create captions for photos/postings
– Reply customer enquiries and feedback on social media
Qualifications:
– Students pursuing a degree from NUS/NTU/SMU/SUTD or a diploma from the local polytechnics, preferably in final year of studies.  Students majoring in Marketing, Retail Management, Communications will be given priority
– Singaporean or PR or currently a student studying in Singapore
- Able to commit for a 3 or 6 months internship Passionate in working in a Social Enterprise and in Handbags Retail business
– Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal
– Good administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)
– Creativity and ability to work on own initiative
– Knowledge of graphic designing software e.g. Adobe/Illustrator would be an  added advantage
– Internet savvy with good research and internet skills
– Attention to detail
– Excellent team player
Requirements:
Fluent in English
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and results-oriented
Confident in communicating and interacting with customers over the phone or face to face
Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team

Ability to start work immediately would be advantageous
We offer on-the-job training, a basic salary with commission
