EduPicks is a budding SG’s 1’st one-stop e-commerce platform for school students, Parents, teachers/tutors, Learning Centers & Institutions to buy handpicked , problem solver kind of & Curated collection of education related products from authenticated & reliable publishers and Supplier in the categories of Assessment Books, other Study material & worksheet, Stationery, educational equipment, Furniture, gadgets, Educational Toys & Hobbies, Music equipment & accessories, other teaching & Learning aids & accessories and everything else related to education.
In this role, the person would be responsible for selection addition by acquiring new sellers individually with minimum guidance. This is a field sales role and the team leaders as well his/her entire Org is expected to be on the field/road acquiring sellers. The candidate would also be responsible to identify and onboard support partners to facilitate new seller acquisition and going live processes like imaging / cataloging / training/ business improvement etc.
● Background in field sales is mandatory - individual will have to be the kind who enjoys being on the field and convincing sellers to go online on Edupicks
● The role would require extensive travel within singapore as and when required
● In order to be successful, the candidate should develop a thorough knowledge of relevant Edupicks processes and support team in selection growth - his team will look up to him to solve operational and process-related problems to convince sellers to go online
● Give seller and competitive inputs to internal teams like category, selection product and ops, onboarding, marketing etc. from time to time for improving internal processes and benchmarks
● Will be accountable for new sellers added/day - will be a strict sales-oriented role wherein the candidate has to be keep thinking about how he/she will achieve the daily sales number
● Develop and plan for bringing in the required selection and execute with urgency to add to sales
● Candidates should be very comfortable with a target driven environment with daily reporting, calls etc.
● Support in the retrieval of data, draw insights, and propose further growth actions to be taken as part of growing the seller to full potential with an increasing range of items.
● Work closely with the Marketplace marketing team to explore new assortment, based on upcoming Edupicks DB campaigns.
● Support the Seller Acquisition Team to look for best in class suppliers who would complement our existing offering and provide added value with their range of items.
● Meet and onboard new sellers with exciting range, keeping a good understanding on how Edupicks Marketplace can complement their online growth strategies.
● Help build direct Business Partner acquisition commercial force & strong acquisition and incubation processes.
● Assist with Edupicks, On employee engagement initiatives
Competencies to learn:
● Active participation in strategic planning process, including developing goals, objectives and processes
● Engage external sellers actively to build the business.
● Engage in process improvement, while engaging sellers during the initial incubation and onboarding process.
● Develop a holistic understanding of the business model and suggest areas of improvements.
Desired Skills and experience:
● Possess at least a Degree and/or equivalent
● Min 1 to 2 years of experience in Field Sales and working in Startup culture is a plus.
● Ability to manage operations involving external partner teams with good communication skills
● Program management skills, relationship management, interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams with an eye for detail
● Ability to multi-task and work independently and as a team
● Basic proficiency in MS applications e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint, Google drive & related tools
