World Scientific is looking for undergraduate interns interested in scholarly publishing. This role will provide an opportunity to garner substantial skills and knowledge in book and journal publishing from the publisher’s point of view. A supervisor/mentor will be assigned to guide the intern throughout the experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform research on assigned subject areas (e.g., identifying emerging research topics, leading researchers, top conferences, etc.)
- Assist in production processes (e.g., copyediting, proofreading, manuscript chasing, etc.)
- Any other task on an ad-hoc basis
Pre-requisites
- Undergraduates majoring in a S.T.E.M. course
- Excellent written English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated, meticulous and resourceful, with the ability to multitask and work independently
Internship Allowance will be based on education level.
