About StraitsX
The StraitsX team is building the payments infrastructure for Digital Assets in Southeast Asia. We aim to connect millions of individuals and businesses in the region to the Digital Assets market through our suite of products, including Xfers Wallet and Xfers Direct. In 2020, we released our first stablecoin, XSGD, the largest stablecoin in Asia by supply.

Responsibilities
As a business development intern at Xfers, you will play an instrumental role in fuelling Xfers' growth in the Singapore market. You will be focused on acquiring new merchants and servicing current accounts. You will be part of the StraitsX team and reporting to the Business Development Manager.
Our team is looking for a highly motivated colleague to help support building up our business in Singapore. The ideal candidate is a driven and strategic networker who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse and entrepreneurial environment.
What you'll be doing
- Drive client acquisition, onboard merchant and corporate accounts across our digital assets products - Xfers Wallet, Xfers Direct, XSGD
- Develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders at new and existing clients, collaborate across teams from client organization if required
- Responding to clients’ questions, expedite the resolution of problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction for client retention
- Generate data-driven sales reports and results
- Support key stakeholders such as Compliance, Product, Product operations, the management to optimize sales operations
What we are looking for in you
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with internal and external senior stakeholders
- You are forward-thinking and approach challenges with a solution-orientated approach
- Team player and you are comfortable and determined in dealing with challenging situations (i.e. objection handling, overcoming gatekeepers, etc.)
- Solid organization, multi‐tasking, and prioritization skills, including acute attention to detail as well as effective time management
- Tech-savvy with good knowledge of using G-suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google docs, sheets, etc.)
- It would be a plus point if you have exposure and a broad understanding of the Digital Assets and FinTech sector
- Ideal candidates should be willing to commit to a full internship for at least 4 months.
