Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities: The intern(s) will be attached to XSQUARE’s R&D department for the development of automatic guided vehicle (AGV) for warehouses. The intern will be shadowing and assisting XSQUARE's engineers in their day to day work.

Electrical and Electronics (EE)

Conceptualising EE designs for AGV machine interface.

Capture EE design in software.

Build and test prototype.

Mechanical

Edit or design mounting brackets or housings for AGV sensors.

Create 3D designs using CAD software.

Generate drawings for manufacturing.

Assemble and install completed designs.

Software

Working with Linux OS and ROS to support AGV test and development activities.


Learning Opportunities

Develop and implement various AGV electronics and subsystems

Design and install mechanical interface for sensors and various electronic subsystems

Diagnose forklift electronics system errors, inefficiencies and weaknesses to all manipulated subsystems


Prerequisites

Electronic design experience

Principal understanding of Lidar, 3D-camera and laser rangefinders

Competency in analyzing electrical drawings and electronic schematic designs

Competency in designing interface electronics

Competency in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) for mechanical interfaces

Experience in prototyping (3D-printing, CAD systems)

Strong team player

Knowledge of C++ and Python will be an advantage
