Yacht 21 is founded in 2009 by Jaren Ho, founder and creative director.
A boat voyage with friends inspired her to put together a contemporary yet functional collection for the ladies on board who were blandly dressed. The idea of starting a homegrown cruise wear label struck her after watching numerous cruise collection runway shows by top notch global designers. The number 21 in the name expresses inspirational vibes found in the Yacht 21 girl who's creative, imaginative and optimistic. Ever since then, Jarenis embarked on a free-spirited journey to create four collections each year. Influenced by her travels abroad and minimalism of Scandinavian design, Jarenis's designs were kept clean and functional, yet varied in the wearer's individual aesthetic. Every design complements the wearer's body while providing a distinctive charismatic look.

What the intern will learn:
YACHT 21 is committed to ensuring that its internships provide a valuable learning experience for its interns. In connection with this internship, we anticipate that the intern will gain experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Learn how a local retail network operates and what retail operations is in both strategic and operational level
- Develop communication skills and service excellence
Work Descriptions:
- Understands the importance of customer service and ensure high levels of customers’ satisfaction through excellent service
- Assist in managing visual merchandising standards and maintain outstanding store condition
- Learn about retail trends and provide styling advice, recommendations and coordination of apparels for customers
- Understands the importance of stock control, and assist in managing stock replenishment and ensure sufficient stock levels
- Understands how a point of sales system works for the control of store inventory and managing payment transaction
- Assist in supporting and managing store administration
This internship is full-time (5 days work week, retail hours) and will be based at one of our store at Orchard.
