The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) movement was started in 1844 in London by Mr George Williams and a group of likeminded concerned Christians. It is one of the oldest and largest Movements for youth in the world and now operates in 119 countries, and reaching 58 million people. The YMCA works to bring social justice and peace to young people and their communities, regardless of religion, race, gender or culture.
Established in 1902, the YMCA of Singapore is a volunteer-based Christian organisation that seeks to serve and impact all members of the community, regardless of race, language or religion, through programmes, services and enterprises to develop the body, mind and spirit.
The Role:
You will work closely with the HR & Admin department to assist in HR functions including but not limited to recruitment and provide support in different aspects of HR.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process from screening CVs, scheduling interviews to communicating with candidates
- Ensure the smooth process of onboarding and offboarding, including preparation of staff’s employment documents and conducting orientation and exit interviews etc
- Participate and provide support in HR-related events like career fairs and staff welfare activities
- Be actively involved in improvement projects such as review, revision and automation of HR procedures and forms
- Other cross functional ad-hoc projects may be assigned throughout the course of work to align with the organization’s goals and strategies
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration / Human Resource Management or related discipline
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook
- Meticulous and show attention to details
- Excellent organizational and time management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
