The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) movement was started in 1844 in London by Mr George Williams and a group of likeminded concerned Christians. It is one of the oldest and largest Movements for youth in the world and now operates in 119 countries, and reaching 58 million people. The YMCA works to bring social justice and peace to young people and their communities, regardless of religion, race, gender or culture.
Established in 1902, the YMCA of Singapore is a volunteer-based Christian organisation that seeks to serve and impact all members of the community, regardless of race, language or religion, through programmes, services and enterprises to develop the body, mind and spirit.
The Role:
You are responsible for supporting the HR & Admin department in performing general clerical and administration duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrange interview appointment with candidates and prepare the employment contracts and onboarding documents
- Prepare staff ID cards for new hires and update the telephone listing
- Prepare letters related to staff onboarding or transition
- Administer staff exit clearance and update the HR records
- Responsible for mail administration, which includes clearing of incoming mails, disseminating incoming mails to relevant parties
- Administer office stationery and pantry supplies
- Any other general administration duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- ‘O’/ ‘A’ Level/ Certificate in Business Administration or related discipline
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook
- Attention to detail and meticulous
- Excellent organizational and time management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
