Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of YTL Power International Berhad, provides value-added solutions in the electricity generation and retail of multi-utilities, trading and tank leasing. We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Performance & Digitalisation intern to join our power plant team and assist with the digitalisation of our thermodynamic model. As an intern, you will be exposed to the development and implementation of advanced modelling techniques used to optimize the plants' performance. Additionally, you will also be exposed to the generation of dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to visualize plant performance metrics and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and implementation of advanced thermodynamic models for the power plant using Ebsilon Modelling software similar to Aspen Hysys.
Work closely with the operations team to collect and analyze data to improve model accuracy and performance.
Utilize software tools to develop and simulate the power plant processes, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Assist in developing and delivering training sessions to plant personnel on the use of the digital models and related software tools.
Generate dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to visualize plant performance metrics and key performance indicators.Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and P&ID
Proficiency in using modelling software tools such as Aspen Hysys
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
