As a ZEBOX intern, you will be responsible for assisting with startup scouting, engaging with founders to assess their relevance for the ZEBOX portfolio, and collaborating with the internal team. Additionally, you will assist in organizing events and networking opportunities with corporate partners and work closely with other ZEBOX teams worldwide. Your role will also involve proposing improvements to the ZEBOX program and internal tools while co-creating content with other team members
- Identify sources of innovation, the latest technologies, and trends related to start-ups and innovation in Singapore and Asian countries on maritime, supply chain, and energy industries.
- Participate in building and developing a scouting network to source for the best startups locally and internationally for ZEBOX eg.: university labs, accelerator/incubator programs, commercialization organizations, and economic development agencies.
- Participate in scouting and engaging with startups founders that may be relevant to be part of the ZEBOX portfolio in strong relation with the internal team
- Support in planning and organizing events, (panels, conferences, startup pitches, and networking lunches) with corporate partners to foster meaningful connections, possibly for international events in collaboration with other hubs.
- Collaborate with Other Hubs: Working closely with the ZEBOX teams in France, North America, West Africa, and the UK to support the ZEBOX development.
- Continuously propose an improvement of the ZEBOX program & internal tools and co-create, in collaboration with other team members, the content provided internally by the ZEBOX.
WHO IS SUITABLE FOR THIS ROLE - Language Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Organizational Skills: Strong abilities to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Tech Proficiency: Skilled in using office equipment, Microsoft Suite
- Analytical Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of working analytically in time-limited situations to solve problems.
- Comfort with Ambiguity: Adaptable to uncertainty and a dynamic business landscape.
- Proactive and Engaging: Possessing a hands-on mentality, with an open-minded and can-do attitude.
- Startup Experience (Bonus): Previous experience in a related ecosystem or startup environment is a plus.
- Applicants must be located in Singapore and able to work in Singapore.
