About the role
Zumvet is a digital healthcare start-up with a mission to change the way pet care is delivered in Singapore.
We're looking for a communications intern to join our growing team to develop, implement and execute plans for content,
social media and digital marketing. The role is a unique opportunity to work with cross-functional teams to shape how
ZumVet interacts with pet owners and helps to build a pet community both online and offline.
Success in this position requires strong project and people management skills, leadership and influencing, and a data driven
approach to making impactful decisions.
Depending on skill set, this individual will assist with communications tasks including, but not limited to: writing and editing,
photo and video production and editing, web and social media analytics, social media content, graphic design, media
relations, digital asset management, event coordination and other communications and administrative support tasks as
assigned.

● Connect with communities - We want to build an offline to online ecosystem that actually addresses real
concerns, questions and needs of pet owners Throughout your internship, you need to gain a clear understanding
of the customer experience, identify and fill gaps and generate new ideas that grow and contribute back to the pet
community.
● Do the right things, even if it’s different – We believe in putting the pet first when it comes to solutions. So rather
than telling you what to do, you’ll work with users and internal stakeholders to constantly think about how we can
benefit the lives of our pets, even if it is different.

autonomy to make it happen.

Responsibilities
- Applicants will provide support in the following areas. As no single applicant is likely to have all of the following skills,
- applicants with experience in at least 2-3 of these areas, and a willingness to expand their skill set should feel comfortable applying.
Social Media:
- Draft and organize social media content to promote ZumVet blogs, videos and media coverage on Facebook,
- LinkedIn and Instagram
- Contribute to social media quantitative and qualitative analytics reporting.
- Create and coordinate content for social media campaigns and observances
- Monitor and research influencers, trending topics and tools.
- General social media planning, research, reporting and coordination as assigned.
- Writing and Editing:
- Corporate bios
- Photo captions
- Blogs
- Project descriptions
- Interviewing
- Copyediting
- Press releases and media advisories
- Photo, Video and Graphics:
- Edit and format photos and videos for social media and website
- Photo, video and audio editing
- Photography and videography
- Infographics
- Gifs, animations and graphics
- Digital asset management
Media Relations:
- Help compile and update media contact lists
- Prepare media reports on assigned subjects
- Identify and research opportunities to share ZumVet stories with relevant journalists and media outlets.
- Assist with press release/media advisory writing, editing, distribution, and media outreach
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating of photo/video shoots
Miscellaneous Communications and Administrative Support:
- Taking notes during meetings
- Create and manage PowerPoint presentations
- Report preparation for meetings and presentations
- Purchasing and expense reports
- Mail and shipping
- Event planning and coordination
- General administrative and communications support as assigned.

- Undergraduate/graduate student in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital filmmaking, digital
- media, graphic design or a development-related field
